Sheila ‘Anake Pau Bright

Sheila ‘Anake Pau Bright, 70, of Hilo died Dec. 13 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired tutor at Ka Umeke Kaeo, former teacher at Punana Leo Preschool and a member of Ka Uhane Hemolele O Ka Malamalama Church. Visitation will take place from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel; funeral service at 3. Casual attire.

She is survived by daughter, Ilima (Samson) Kela of Hilo; hanai son, Kawika (Leinaala) Nakooka of Puna; brother, Dana (Helen) Bolton of Waianae; sister, Julie Makekau of Maui; hanai mother, Valkyrie Naeole of Honolulu; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Antone “Tony” Enriquez

Antone “Tony” Enriquez, 75, of Pahoa, died on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, at home. He was born on June 7, 1940, in Olaa, Hawaii. He was a retired concrete mason of Isemoto Contracting Company. He was a member and former Bishop of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Pahoa Ward; a member of the Hawaii Masons and Plasterer’s Union Local #1; a member of the Kalapana Ohana Association; and a member of the Hawaii Army National Guard.

Visitation will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Hilo; Funeral Service at 10 a.m.; burial to follow at Alae Cemetery, Mormon Section. Casual attire.

He is survived by, wife, Winifred “Winnie” Ah Hee Enriquez of Pahoa; sons, Lloyd (Jo Ann) Enriquez of Pahoa and Brian Enriquez of Pahoa; daughters, Debra (Slade) Isabel of Pahoa, Denise (Les) Hauanio of Pahoa and Brianna (Donovan Oliveira) Enriquez-Cabalis of Pahoa; brothers, Benny (Yvonne) Enriquez of Arizona and George Enriquez of Keaau; sister, Elizabeth Konanui of South Carolina; sisters-in-law, Emiko Enriquez of Hilo, Lydia Makuakane of Kailua, Oahu, Mary Lei Kubo of Pahoa and Mildred “Pua” Enos of Laie, Maui; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous hanai children and hanai grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Alfred Alatan

Alfred Alatan, 90, Pepeekeo, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. He was born on April 14, 1925, in Kalopa, Hawaii. He was a retired Crane Operator for the former Hilo Coast Processing Company and a member of the Good Shepherd Mission Catholic Church in Honomu and Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou, Hawaii. Martina Nicolas Dela Cruz, 83, of Kapaau, passed away on Friday, Dec. 18, 2015, at Kohala Hospital. She was born on Jan. 31, 1932, in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines; she was a retired housekeeper for Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and she also was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hawi, Kohala Filipino Club and Kohala Senior Citizen. Gordon Herbert Souder

Mr. Gordon Herbert Souder, 85, of Pahoa died Dec. 2, 2015, at the Queen’s Medical Center. Born in Laurel, Maryland, he was a retired nuclear engineer at Pearl Harbor and a retired orchid farmer.
