Ohrlando’s Chamber Ensemble will offer a classical program featuring European salon tunes of the 19th and 20th centuries Jan. 2-3 in Kona.
Welcome the New Year and say goodbye to the old with Roland Maurer and his wife Ursula Hesse performing two concerts for the community as part of the ensemble’s 2015/16 music series. The performances will feature Maurer on oboe, bassoon and saxophone and Hesse on piano playing waltzes, polkas, opera phantasies and more.
The first concert is 5 p.m. Jan. 2 at Christ Church Episcopal’s Queen Emma Center in Kealakekua. The second is 4 p.m. Jan. 3 at a residence in Kailua-Kona.
A $15 donation per person is requested.
