Coast Guard and fire department crews ended their search for a missing free diver following the recovery of a body offshore Papohaku Beach, Molokai, Sunday.

Coast Guard and fire department crews ended their search for a missing free diver following the recovery of a body offshore Papohaku Beach, Molokai, Sunday.

At 10:30 a.m., a body matching the description of Steven Likua was located and recovered by dive crews with the Molokai Fire Department, according to the Coast Guard.

The body was turned over to city officials and positive identification was made.

The USCGC Kittiwake, an HC-130 Hercules airplane crew and MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Air Station Barbers Point partipated in the search. The Molokai Fire Department searched with a rescue boat, divers, jet skis and a helicopter.
