“HouseMart Eats,” the fourth cookbook fundraiser published by HouseMart Ace Hardware and Ben Franklin Crafts, has hit the shelves.

Cookbooks are $10 each and 100 percent of proceeds benefit various United Way organizations, including Hawaii Island United Way.

“HouseMart Eats” is a compilation of 133 recipes, some of which were passed down through generations or a spur-of-the-moment-experiment-gone-right, or is a dish that evokes fond memories. Recipes were submitted by HouseMart’s Hawaii, Washington, Nevada and Oregon employees and community partners. Among the recipes are Grandma Mat’s ono Hawaiian prawns, spicy chayote squash, Saipan red rice, Irish soda bread, white chocolate macadamia nut blondies and even peanut butter dog treats.
