KHON-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1IwZkeJ ) that the arrival of the bloodhound named Reba was announced Saturday. The three-year-old canine was brought to the Honolulu Police Department with the help of funds raised through Missing Child Center Hawaii.
The department’s new service dog will serve as a replacement to another bloodhound that died last year. Police will use Reba to help locate missing people, such as hikers, fugitives and escapees.
Reba was rescued from a North Carolina shelter.
