Lois Stokes, Leslie Barton and Lydia Meneses will offer a Zentangle workshop Dec. 12 at Volcano Art Center.
The class, “Zentangle: Diva Dance,” will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Students will create three holiday gift cards and a triptych that is assembled in three sections and can be folded shut or displayed open. As an added bonus, the instructors will teach a tango (a variation that is created when you combine two or more different tangles into one tangle).
Zentangle is an easy-to-learn, relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. It’s the repetitive nature of these patterns that brings participants into a state of relaxed focus that some call meditation
Holiday foods will be served. “Zentangle: Basics” is not a prerequisite for the class. Class fee is $35 for nonmembers and $30 for VAC members, in addition to a $10 supply fee.
