Alternating lane closures will be in effect on Mamalahoa Highway, also known as Highway 180, in Holualoa Village on Friday for roadway shoulder paving.

The County of Hawaii Department of Public Works will be paving 500 feet of the roadway shoulder on the makai side of the highway beginning at the Kona Hotel and extending south past Paul’s Place. Crews will be working from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and drive with caution.
