HONOLULU (AP) — An American Airlines passenger’s pet took something of an unplanned Hawaiian vacation when the corgi was placed on the wrong flight and ended up in Honolulu.
Hawaii News Now reports (https://bit.ly/1IlNpQW ) that Bethany the Pembroke Welsh corgi was headed with her owner from Seattle to their new home in Jackson, Mississippi, on Saturday when she was placed on the wrong connecting flight in Dallas.
When owner Paul Chen found he had made it to his final destination without his pup he reported the dog missing and offered a $1,000 reward.
Bethany left the islands on Monday for Dallas and is scheduled to make her trip to Mississippi Tuesday.
American Airlines says they are looking at their procedures to find how the corgi ended up on the wrong plane.
