Cleofas Amaral
Cleofas “Cleo” Boso Amaral, 64, of Keaau died Nov. 1, 2015, at her residence. Born in Culaba, Caibiran, Leyte, Philippines, she was a homemaker and formerly employed at Agro Resources Inc.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. Nov. 12 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10:30 a.m. Mass. Burial follows at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Family requests casual attire be worn.
She is survived by husband, Raymond Amaral Jr. of Keaau; daughter, Maria (Mike) Durch of Hilo; brother, Roberto Olaybar of the Philippines; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Petra Queja
Petra Cadiz Queja, 88, of Hilo died Nov. 1, 2015, at home. Born Aug. 6, 1927, in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines; she retired from Life Care Center of Hilo, and was a member of the First United Protestant Church in Hilo.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 12 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for a 7 p.m. service. Friends may call again at 10 a.m. Nov. 14 at the First United Protestant Church in Hilo for an 11 a.m. service. Family requsts casual attire be worn. Flowers are welcome. Burial will be held at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima Section.
She is survived by husband, Pedro Queja of Hilo; sons, Elmer (Dolores) Queja, Onofe (Susan) Queja, both of California, Froilan (Rosalind) Queja, William (Inez Bidad) Queja, both of Hilo; Lemuel Queja of Kauai; daughters, Edita (Robert) Steen of Wisconsin, Mildred Queja of Hilo, Maribel (Bradley) Lee of California; brother, Francisco (Pacita) Cadiz of Philippines; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Raynette Kahawaiolaa
Raynette Leinaala Kahawaiolaa, 72, of Keaukaha died Oct. 19, 2015, in Las Vegas. Born May 16, 1943, in Honolulu, she was a retired receptionist for the engineering department at Hawaii Electric Light Co. and member of the Keaukaha Community Association, Kamana Senior Center’s Sewing, Lauhala, Washi Chigiri-e Japanese Art class, Mahjong, RSVP and Ikenobo Ikebana.
Friends may call at 4 p.m. Nov. 13 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for a 6 p.m. service. Cremation will follow. Family requests aloha attire and pink clothing if possible.
She is survived by husband, Patrick Kahawaiolaa of Keaukaha; daughters, Kimberly Kahawaiolaa-Daffron of Kaumana, Karla Kahawaiolaa-Sibayan of Hilo; son, Kipling (Rene) Kahawaiolaa of Pearl City, Oahu; brothers, Raymond (Elaine) Kaanapu Sr. of Waiakea Uka, Carlton (Promise) Kaanapu of Papakolea, Oahu; sisters, Dawn (Francis) Yamaguchi, Cheryl Vierra, both of Waimanalo, Oahu; hanai daughter, Amanda Teruya of Hilo; four grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
