Submissions should be kept as brief as possible, but still include pertinent information such as what the event or activity is; when it is offered; where it will be held; cost; and contact information. The newspaper reserves the right to edit as needed, and for parity. High-resolution photos are also appreciated.
The Holiday Happenings calendar will be featured weekly in the Big Island Entertainment Scene starting Nov. 13 through Jan. 1.
It will also be presented in our holiday gift guide trilogy – “Making a List,” “Checking it Twice,” and “Menehune Magic.” This series is chock full of special deals, gift ideas and ways to buy local this holiday season. “Making a List” will be published Nov. 15; “Checking it Twice” on Nov. 26; and “Menehune Magic” on Dec. 13.
West Hawaii Today has created an easy-to-use webform at www.westhawaiitoday.com/webform/holiday-happenings to submit the information. Those who did not wish to use the webform may submit information via email to entertainment@westhawaiitoday.com.
Submissions will be accepted throughout the season, however, information must be received no later than seven days before publication.
Submissions for the last edition, to be published in the Big Island Entertainment Scene on Jan. 1, are due no later than Dec. 21.
Space may be limited, and preference will be given on a first-come-first-served basis.
