The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports (https://bit.ly/1WxDQ8a ) 45-year-old Albert Michael Robledo was charged with bank robbery in connection to last week’s incident at Bank of Hawaii.
According to an FBI affidavit, a man entered the bank and passed the teller a withdrawal slip. The slip was signed with his name and read: “Put the money in the bag or bomb.”
The teller reportedly told authorities the man also gave her a debit card that also had his name on it.
The robber allegedly brandished a knife and demanded $5,000 from the woman.
Robledo was arrested shortly after the incident.
Police had closed off a street for hours while they searched his bag for explosives.
