Konawaena rebounded nicely from their upset loss to Le Jardin in the quarterfinals of the tournament. The Wildcats first took down University in straight sets on Friday before beating Damien on Saturday 25-14, 25-15.
Chanelle Molina continued her domination at the net and on the back line, picking up a game high 11 kills and 13 digs. Celena Molina added 25 assists. Alissa Nahale-Blanco was dominant at the net, picking up eight kills and two blocks.
After dropping a Division I quarterfinal game, Waiakea bounced back with a straight set victory over Kalaheo (25-23, 25-19) on Friday. However, the Warriors fell in the fifth place game on Saturday to Kapolei 25-18, 25-14.
Kadara Marshall led Waiakea with six kills. Jordyn Hayashi picked up eight digs and Lindsey Maikui followed with seven. Hiilei Ishii-Chaves added seven assists.
