Saeko Togawa

Saeko Togawa, 88, of Kailua-Kona and Honokaa died Oct. 10, 2015, at Emily Domingo’s Care Home. Born April 16, 1927, in Haina, she was a retired caregiver and member of Honokaa Senior Citizens Club and Honokaa Hongwaji Mission.

Friends may call at 11 a.m. Nov. 2 at Honokaa Hongwanji Mission in Honokaa for a service. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.

She is survived by brother, Yoshito Togawa of Los Angeles; sister, Shirley Leong of Honolulu; numerous cousins.

Noralynne Pinao

Noralynne K. Pinao, 62, of Hilo died Sept. 19, 2015. Born in Honolulu, she was employed as a deputy corporation counsel for the County of Hawaii.

Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 7 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Waimanalo Ward on Oahu for an 11 a.m. service. A small reception follows. Family requests casual attire and no flowers.

She is survived by husband, Vili Ifo of Hilo; son, Zachary Ifo of Hilo; daughter, Lyndsay Ifo of Hilo; brothers, Cushman (Dolly) Pinao of Honolulu, William (Lily) Pinao Jr. of Waimanalo, Oahu, Ranceford (Diane) Pinao of Kealakekua; sisters, Virginia Lasco and Adrienne (Paul) England, both of Honolulu; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Bajo Ymer

Bajo Ymer, 72, of Kealakekua died Aug. 15, 2015, at Kona Community Hospital. Born March 26, 1943, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a substance abuse counselor.

No services are planned.

He has no known survivors.

Robert Orem

Robert James Orem, 66, of Kapaau died Aug. 22, 2015, at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born Aug. 28, 1948, in Kent County, Md., he was a roofer, artist and Air Force veteran.

Private services were held.

He is survived by sister, Mary Voigt of Kapaau; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ellen Stovall

Ellen Marie Stovall, 65, of Kailua-Kona died July 27, 2015, at Kona Community Hospital. Born March 2, 1950, in Honolulu, she was a retired store supervisor.

Private services will be held.

She is survived by sons, Jerry (Regina Lopez) Stovall Jr. of Mililani, Oahu, Tramayne Stovall of Honolulu; brothers, Gerald Kahue of Waianae, Oahu, Joe (Fran) Kahue of Iowa; sisters, Eileen Konanero of Kailua-Kona, Lois (Robert) Carter of Honolulu; 12 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

William Hawelu Jr.

William Kalua Hawelu Jr., 87, of Kurtistown died Oct. 23, 2015, at the Dela Cruz Adult Foster Home in Keaau. Born Oct. 10, 1928, in Kurtistown, he was a Korean War Army veteran who received two bronze stars for his heroism.

Private services are planned.

He is survived by sister, Susie (James) Houston of Holualoa; brother, Gaboel Hawelu of Hilo.

Asako Nakamura

Asako Horio Nakamura, 95, of Hilo died Oct. 18, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Kaumana, she was a homemaker.

Private services were held. Family requests no monetary gift or flowers.

She is survived by husband, Fumio Nakamura; daughter, Karen Nakamura; numerous nieces and nephews.
