The Kissidugu West African All Stars featuring the Lava Roots Dance Company will perform Nov. 8 at 4 p.m. at the Hawaii Island Retreat in North Kohala.
The Kissidugu West African All Stars featuring the Lava Roots Dance Company will perform Nov. 8 at 4 p.m. at the Hawaii Island Retreat in North Kohala.
The performance, part of a 4-day drum/dance conference and retreat, will be held in an outdoor venue. Tickets, which can be purchased at the venue, are $20 for adults, $10 for those 15 and younger and $10 for seniors. Children under age 5 enter free.
The “Merveilles Hawaii Drum and Dance Conference North Kohala” will be Nov. 4 to 8 at the retreat. There are different options for those interested in attending and costs will vary. The conference will feature master artists Gabriel Fara Tolno, Youssouf Koumbassa, Naby Bangoura, Marietou Camara, Fode Bangoura, Soriba Fofana, Lamine Bangoura, and Sekou Camara. Also featuring Hula, Tahitian and daily yoga. Full conference, partial conference and day rates and drop-in classes available.
