The writers on the editorial page on Oct. 8 show an obvious disreguard for the truth.
First, an article from The Orange County Register, a far right publication, claims that Clinton lied about her emails and claims they were illegal classified messages. All departments that studied the emails stated that none were illegal or classified. Maybe they are now classified, but at that time they were legal. No classified material was in any of the emails.
Then there’s George Will stating lies about the IRS investigation. It was found that no investigations were pointed at one direction. Both right and left were audited because of the rise in illegal monies given during elections. There were some minor problems, but nothing earth shaking. Then he goes on to rant about the IRS as being a tool of the administration and the director should be impeached. Another article to distract the public from the truth of today, and not the lies of yesterday.
If these things are so important, why didn’t someone complain about the private company servers that George W. Bush and Dick Cheney used, and the “loss” of 22,000 emails.
The methods used by the right are childish and foolish to the people who can remember longer than one year. More than $8 million has been wasted just so a political point can be made. This is our dollars that will never be recovered.
Congress has not made one bill to actually benefit the people, because of the mantra from the right wing to never pass anything that will be positive during Barack Obama’s time in office. Don’t we all wish we could take a five to eight week vacation during times of hard work?
