WAILUKU, Maui (AP) — Enrollment is down 2.3 percent system-wide for the University of Hawaii.
The Maui News reports (https://is.gd/yQ3D6L) a total of 55,756 students have enrolled in the system. That’s down 2.3 percent from this time last year.
The flagship campus, University of Hawaii-Manoa on Oahu, had 18,865 students. That’s a 3.3 percent decline in enrollment there from the 2014 fall semester.
The University of Hawaii Maui College is at its lowest enrollment in seven years. There were 3,593 students enrolled, down 5.7 percent from last year.
The Maui enrollment was 3,287 in fall 2008.
