A magnitude-3.2 earthquake was recorded near the Mauna Loa summit late Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey Hawaiian Volcano Observatory reports.
The earthquake occurred at 10:18 p.m. Monday about 3.8 miles south-southwest of Mauna Loa’s summit, according to the USGS. It had a registered depth of 1.9 miles.
No damage was reported. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center did not issue an advisory following the earthquake.
