An Ahualoa area road is closed Tuesday morning because of a landslide, officials report.
The Hawaii Police Department said shortly before 8 a.m. that Kahana Drive was closed approximately three to four miles above Old Mamalahoa Highway, the principal road running through Ahualoa, because of a landslide. Kahana Drive is located on the Honokaa side of Ahualoa Road.
Maintenance crews have been dispatched to the area, according to Hawaii County Civil Defense.
