Burglary

Someone entered a business on the 75-5900 block of Kuakini Highway and flipped over a table on Sept. 17. There was no damage observed and no signs of a forced entry.

Someone entered a man’s home Sept. 18 on the 74-4300 block of Punawele Street and removed multiple items.

A 60 inch television and an entertainment center were stolen between midnight and 7 a.m. Sept. 19 from an apartment on the 75-5800 block of Ali’i Drive. The total value was listed as $2,200.

Electronics were stolen from a rental property in the 78-6800 block of Ali’i Drive after a person entered through an unlocked screen door on Sept. 19. The victim reported that a Dell laptop, iPhone 6 and Canon digital camera were taken from on top of a coffee table located about three feet from the door. The total value was estimated at $4,000.

A woman and her female friend were injured when they returned to the woman’s home on 78-6800 block of Ali’i Drive on Sept. 20. They were confronted by a man inside, who “struck both female parties with an unknown white cloth object, causing them to feel pain.” The suspect took items valued at $3,100 from the home.

Electronics and a flashlight were stolen some time between 5:30 p.m. and 8:27 p.m. Sept. 4 in the 78-6600 block of Mamalahoa Highway. Someone entered the unlocked residence and took a bluetooth speaker, a jump drive and a blue mag-lite flashlight.

A man living in a home on the 75-0100 block of Kalani Street reported a man began banging on the window and side of the home on Sept. 6. The suspect is a local man, six-feet six-inches tall and wearing a blue shirt. The suspect ripped off the window screen, tore down the window blinds and entered the home. The attacker then grabbed the resident by the neck and pushed him against a wall, restricting the victim’s breathing. The suspect then grabbed a water bottle and threw it at the victim’s head. Finally he began to slap the victim while saying “if I have to come back I will kill you!”

Someone stole a cash drawer from a business of the 75-0100 block of Hualalai. The suspect entered between 7 p.m. Sept.10 and 6:30 a.m. Sept. 11. The total value was listed as $200.

Ucpv (stolen vehicle)

A 2003 Toyota Tacoma with plate HCU 602 was stolen between 10 p.m. Sept. 16 and 7:15 a.m. Sept. 17 while it was parked in front of a home in the 73-1100 block of Maheu Circle.

A car was found still running just outside the gate after being stolen Sept. 18 from a home on Kiholo Bay. It was found to have $800 damage to the steering column as a result of the theft.

A red Eaton moped was stolen from the Safeway parking lot from 12:01 and 8:30 a.m Sept. 3. The vehicle has a platenumber of 24926.

A blue moped with plate H34563 was stolen from a condominium on the 75-0100 Alakai Street on as the owner went towork. His mother called him at 121:40 a.m. Sept. 3 and said the moped was gone. It is valued at $1,000.

A gold 2001 Toyota Solar was stolen from a parking lot at Sept. 6 at Honokohau Harbor. It was taken some time between 6a.m. and noon, while the owner was working as the deck hand of a charter boat. He had left the key wrapped in a t-shirt in the trunk with the vehicle open. This was so his roommate could retrieve the car.

A man reported his Suzuki DR350 dirt bike with plate 409 HNE was stolen on Sept. 9 while parked on the west border of the Safeway parking lot. While looking for the bike he saw a darker-skinned man with short black hair, no shirt, unknown shorts and sneakers by the bike. The value of the bike was listed as $1,500.

A truck was stolen on Sept. 9 from in front of an apartment in the 76-5900 block of Mamalahoa Highway. The lifted 2003 white Toyota Tacoma has a plate of HJF 068, Alcoa rims, large BF Goodrich tires and a smash to the driver’s side tailight area with slight rust.

A rented tan Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen from Kahaluu Beach Park between 3:30 and 4 p.m. Sept. 13. It has a plate of ZCT 436 and was estimated value of $30,000.

A man woke up to go to work on Sept. 14 in the 75-5700 block of Alahou Street to find his vehicle was stolen. The man reported it had been parked in an underground lot at the apartments at 10 p.m. Sept. 13. The vehicle has a plate of 425 HDX.

A man reported his 2003 red Honda Ruckus was stolen from the front yard of a home on the 76-6100 block of Royal Poinciana Way between 4 and 10 p.m. Sept. 14. The victim valued the theft at $1,200.

Uemv (unlawful entry into motor vehicle)

A GPS unit and cash were stolen out of two vehicles between 12:01 and 6:15 a.m. Sept. 16 in the 75-0100 block of Kaiolu Drive. The vehicles have plates of HLN 148 and HMA 884, and were unlocked. The 54-year-old man reported that he realized the theft when he saw both driver’s doors were open and interior compartments were left open. Stolen items included a Garmin 44LM GPS unit and about $300 in cash.

Someone cut through the canvas of a rented Avis vehicle while it was parked on Queen Kaahumanu Highway and stole money and other property. The person cut through the rear passenger side some time between noon and 3:30 p.m. Sept. 19 and took cash and items worth $1,200.

Two black bags of diving equipment were from the bed of a vehicle parked in the county parking lot on the 75-5600 block of Ali’i Drive on Sept. 9. The items were taken by breaking the latch to the camper shell. The total value was listed at $745.

A woman reported items were stolen from her vehicle while she was assisting an intoxicated woman at home at the intersection of Kealakehe and Lapa Nui streets. The woman said she parked there on Sept. 15. Someone took the items and fled the area.
