Aloha Performing Arts Company will host a fall break acting camp for youth taught by award-winning actor, instructor, and playwright Engela Edwards, founder and former executive director of Easy Theatre in Austin, Texas.
The camp, geared for ages 8 to 12, will meet from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 5 through 9 at Aloha Theatre in Kainaliu. Students will need to bring lunch each day, and an afternoon snack. All materials necessary for the camp will be provided.
There will be plenty of fun and laughter through storytelling as the youngsters perform a variety of tales such as “The Brementown Musicians,” “The Billy Goats Gruff,” “The Lion and the Mouse,” “Monkey See, Monkey Do,” and “The Magic Fish.”
The performance, which is free and open to the public, will be presented at the end of final day of the camp. Tuition for the camp is $150, and discounts for multiple family members are available.
