A woman is dead after falling out of a car Monday evening in Kailua-Kona.

Keri Flores, 31, of Kona, was a passenger in a 2015 Nissan Sentra that was eastbound on Manawalea Street “she fell out of the passenger side of the vehicle and suffered life threatening injuries,” the Hawaii Police Department said.

Flores was taken to Kona Community Hospital and flown to The Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu. There she was pronounced dead at 7:39 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

Traffic Enforcement Unit officers have ordered an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
