Mauna Kea Resort’s fourth annual Festival of Aloha kicked off Sunday with the arrival of the Aloha Festival’s Royal Court. The free event, organized by Mauna Kea Resort team members, continued throughout the day with food booths.

More than 40 vendors were on hand with everything from clothing to jewelry, wood crafts to art and slippers. Entertainers included Richard and Kai Hoopii, Paani Wale, Kupaoa and Mark Yamanaka, Darren Benitez, Moke Kamealoha and Keaiwa.

Donations were accepted for Hawaii Island Food Basket and event proceeds will be donated to Kohala High School.

The fifth annual Festival of Aloha is slated for Sept. 18, 2016.
