Two collaborative pieces tied for the People’s Choice Award for the Collaborations 2 exhibit held at Wailoa Center during August.

Throughout August, visitors voted for their favorite collaborative art work and the winners were “Pueo’s Flight Made Bright by the Moon, Pa ka lele a ka pueo I ke konane a ka mahina” a basalt, aluminum repousse, koa sculpture created by Elizabeth Miller and Jonathan Sudler, both artists in the Volcano area. The other winning entry was “Go With the Flow” a collage of canvases incorporating acrylic, encaustic, watercolor and oil painting by Linda Peterson, Sarah Taylor Ko, Bea Israel, Bonnie Sol and Carol Noel, all artists living in East Hawaii.
