County so well run we can tell Congress what to do?

County so well run we can tell Congress what to do?

I guess it’s official. Everything at the county level is working perfectly.

There is nothing else for the council to do but tell Congress how to do its job.

I’m sure Congress will be happy to amend away their main source of campaign funds.

Dog on motorcycle a disturbing sight

On Sept 3, West Hawaii Today featured a picture in “Island Life” taken by Ron Bloise.

I was appalled and extremely upset to think that anyone would not have any more common sense than to think it was OK to let a dog ride on the motorcycle perched behind the driver.. This beautiful Husky can easily fall and be killed as well cause a serious accident. It’s obvious that this is an accident waiting to happen.

It’s very frustrating to see things like this occur. The Humane Society then, too often, has the very disturbing sad job to go out on the highway and pick up these bleeding and usually dead dogs. The owners are devastated. Some of the worst cases are when the dog is tied in the bed of the truck that restricts the dog’s movements, but the rope is too long, they fall over the side and are drug beside the car and or along the road.
