Do you have what it takes to design Aloha Petroleum’s 2017 holiday mug? This year’s theme is “Historic Hawaii Towns and the elements that make them special.” One grand prize winner will receive $4,000 while two runners-up will receive $1,000 each.

“For the last 27 years, it has been a holiday tradition at Aloha Petroleum to gift our employees, vendors and friends a commemorative holiday mug showcasing different aspects of Hawaii and what makes it so special,” said President and CEO Richard Parry. “We decided to do a mug design contest to help support the local art community by giving Hawaii’s artists an opportunity to share their talent and win some prizes.”

The contest is open to Hawaii residents ages 18 and older. Artwork can be created in any medium (painting, sketch, watercolor, etc.) although, no photography or digital art will be accepted. The deadline for entries is Dec. 1 and participants may submit up to three entries. The winner will be announced in January 2016.
