A Pahoa man has been arrested on charges that he stole two vehicles, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

A Pahoa man has been arrested on charges that he stole two vehicles, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

A 2005 Toyota Tacoma was stolen from Aheahe Street in Hilo on Aug. 8.

On Aug. 30, a 2003 Ford Focus was taken from Hawaiian Beaches. The next day the victim reported seeing someone driving the car in the Orchidland area.

The man was stopped and identifed as Kealiiokekai Kamanu, 28, of Pahoa, police said.

Police recovered the Tacoma, which was being spray painted.

He was taken into custody and charged with two counts of unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, police said. His bond was set at $20,000.
