David Kamalani
David “The Sarge” “Mac” Mekelanaopuaonalani Kamalani, 89, of Waimea, died Aug. 3, 2015, at Hale Hoola Hamakua. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired solo bike police sergeant with Honolulu Police Department, a World War II Army veteran, member of the Waimea 2nd Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the X-Solo Bike Club.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. Aug. 19 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for an 11 a.m. combined memorial service for him and his wife, Maude, who died in 2012. The family requests aloha attire be worn and that flowers be omitted.
He is survived by son, David (Kiyoko) Kamalani of Kula, Maui; daughters, Alva Kamalani of Waimea, Danielle (Fred) Kamalani-Patoc of Honolulu; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Toribio Agmata Andres, 72, of Hilo died July 22, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Jan. 19, 1943, in the Philippines, he was a vegetable farmer and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo, Filipino Catholic Club and Senior Citizens Club.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. Aug. 21 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 10:30 a.m. service. Burial is at 1 p.m. at Homelani Memorial Park (Lehua section). Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by wife, Felicidad Andres of Hilo; stepdaughters, Brenda (Vernon Sr.) Basque of Keaau, Priscilla (Steve Mendez) Gacusan of Hilo; stepsons, Nelson Gacusan of Hilo, Froilan (Leimomi) Gacusan Jr. of Keaau; two grandchildren; numerous relatives.

Florence Shizuko Ha, 91, of Hilo died Aug. 5, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Oct. 3, 1923, in Hawaii, she was a banana farm worker.

Daniel Luczon Urban, 92, of Captain Cook died Aug. 9, 2015, at his residence. Born Dec. 8, 1922, in Magsingal, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, he was a coffee farmer, yardman at the former Keauhou Beach Hotel, dishwasher at the former Kona Inn Hotel and member of the “Sakada” and St. Michael’s Filipino Catholic Club and the Filipino Organization of Kona.
Friends may call at an all-night vigil starting at 5 p.m. Aug. 21 at the family’s residence at 75-5737 Kalawa St. in Kailua-Kona; prayer service at 6 p.m. Friends may also call at 8 a.m. Aug. 22 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Kailua-Kona for a 10 a.m. Mass. Entombment will follow at Kona Memorial Park Mausoleum in Holualoa. Family requests casual attire be worn.

Rosaline “Rosey” Theresa DeCosta, 72, of Hilo died July 21, 2015, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born Oct. 17, 1942, in Laupahoehoe, she was a housewife and member of the Kohala Puerto Rican Social Club.
