Kirby Imai

Kirby Satomi Imai, 51, of Hilo died Aug. 8, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Sept. 15, 1963, in Hilo, he was a chef at various restaurants on the Big Island.

Friends may call at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 20 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for a 5 p.m. celebration of life. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by son, Kray (Keala) Imai of Kurtistown; daughters, Wrindie Imai of Mountain View, Kashley Imai of Kurtistown; mother, Vivian Imai of Hilo; brothers, Keith Imai of Paradise Park, Ken Imai of Hilo, Kelly Imai of Keaau, Kirk (Kelli) Imai of Ainaloa; three grandchildren; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Billiamic Sibayton

Billiamic “Bill” Sibayton, 89, of Keaau died July 29, 2015, at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Pahoa, he was a retired electrician for the state Department of Transportation-Airport Division, member of Olaa First Hawaiian Congregational Church, Korean War Veterans of Hawaii, Big Island Chapter 231 and a Korean War Army veteran.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. Aug. 20 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 10 a.m. service. Burial follows at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Miu Lin Sibayton of Keaau; daughters, Janice (Barry) Arakaki of Halaula, Kohala, Debbie (Jim) Coyle of San Anselmo, Calif.; hanai daughter, Caroline Porlas of Honolulu; sons, Wilfred (Joni) Sibayton and Jeffrey (Kapiolani) Sibayton, both of Keaau; brothers, Joseph (Percy) Sibayton of Hilo, Patrick (Lucy) Sibayton of Aiea, Oahu; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
