A woman wanted on a warrant from a four-year-old traffic accident was arrested Tuesday at the Kealakehe Police Station.
Sarah Jean Montgomery, 26, of Lake Isabella, Calif., allegedly struck a man with her vehicle on March 31, 2011. She left the scene, violating her duty to identify herself and render assistance to the person, court documents allege.
The offense is a class B felony.
Montgomery was charged in an indictment on March 12, 2013, and a warrant was issued two days later.
Officers tried at least twice to locate her and serve the warrant, records show.
She appeared in court Tuesday and was placed on supervised release.
Her bond was placed at $2,000 and she was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim.
She was previously convicted of driving under the influence of an intoxicant.
“(The) state noted defendant is being charged as a highly intoxicated driver; BAC 0.190,” the case log for that case says.
As a result, her license was suspended, she was ordered into a driver’s education program and paid fines.
