HONOLULU (AP) — The Honolulu Fire Department says two people have died in a house fire.
Capt. David Jenkins says the two-story home in Pauoa Valley was completely engulfed when firefighters arrived Monday.
It took 35 firefighters from nine fire companies to control the blaze.
Jenkins says there were three people at the Kekuanoni Street home at the time. One person was able to escape the fire.
The names of the people who died have not been released.
Jenkins says foul play is not suspected but the cause of the fire is under investigation.
He says the Red Cross is helping the two other occupants of the home.
