Ronald Punsalan
Ronald “Ron” W. Punsalan, 64, of Hilo died July 19, 2015, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born Oct. 18, 1950, in Honomu, he worked as a security guard for Keaau Middle School, was a member of the Hawaii Army National Guard and New Hope Fellowship in Hilo.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Aug. 6 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 7 p.m. service. Friends may call again at 8 a.m. Aug. 6 at New Hope Fellowship in Hilo for a 10 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn. Flowers are welcome. Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima Section.
He is survived by wife, Jocelyn Punsalan of Hilo; daughters, Shawna (Keone) McAllister, Sheena (Matthew Galindo) Punsalan, both of Keaau, Shane (Daiquiri Crum) Punsalan of Hilo; eight grandchildren; brother, Steven (Kathy) Punsalan of Hilo; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Norma Jadulang
Norma Abadilla Jadulang, 67, of Kapaau died July 21, 2015, at Hale Hoola Hamakua. Born May 11, 1948, in Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was a former housekeeper for Hilton Waikoloa Village and member of Hawi Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Aug. 8 at Hawi Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Hawi County Cemetery. The family request casual attire be worn and no flowers.
She is survived by husband, Manuel Jadulang of Kapaau; sons, Manuel (Loida Lalata) Jadulang of Waimea, Melvin Jadulang of Honolulu; father, Pedro (Amelia) Abadilla of Kapaau; brother, Levy (Adelina) Abadilla of the Philippines, Jholito (Ofelia) Abadilla of Kailua-Kona; sisters, Elma Domingo of Hawi, Lorna (Roman) Gatica of Colorado Springs, Colo., Hermelita (Claude) Martel of Kailua-Kona, Nelie Aguiran of Kapaau; two grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Benjamin Leialoha Macomber Jr., 84, of Waiohinu died July 3, 2015, at the Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born July 13, 1930, in Kahaluu, he was retired from the former Ka‘u Sugar Co. as a heavy equipment operator, an Army veteran and member of the Naalehu Nutrition Center and Senior Citizens Club.
Friends may call at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 8 at Kauahaao Congregational Church in Waiohinu for a 10 a.m. service. Burial will follow at Naalehu Community Cemetery. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by sisters, Eunice (Charles Kenzo) Hashimoto of Waiohinu, Mabel Kaipo of Naalehu; numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Miyoko Mitsunaga
Miyoko Mitsunaga, 84, of Pahala died July 10, 2015, at the Hilo Medical Center. Born April 3, 1931, in Keei, she was retired from Ka‘u Macadamia Orchards as a macadamia nut picker, Agricultural Department worker/flagman for Ka‘u Agribusiness Co., an elementary school custodian, member of the Pahala Senior Center, Pahala Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, and Ka‘u Pensioner Club.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. Aug. 8 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for an 11 a.m. service. Family requets casual attire be worn.
She is survived by son, Edwin (Julie) Mitsunaga of Pahala; daughter, Molly (Keith) Ernzer of Maui; brothers, George (Nobuko) Shimamoto of Kona, Robert (Dee) Shimamoto of Honolulu, Perry (Bernadette) Shimamoto of Washington State; sisters, Rose Watanabe, Betsy Olores, Mae (Len) Dailey, Lillian Abe, all of Honolulu; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nephews and nieces.

James Sawada
James Shiro Sawada, 85, of Hilo died July 3, 2015, at his home. Born Jan. 3, 1930, in Kona, he was a retired assistant superintendent for Holmes &Narver on Johnston Island, a Korean War Army veteran and member of Hilo Hooganji Mission.
Private services were held. Family requests no monetary gifts or flowers.
He is survived by son, Alden (Cathy) Sawada of Kona; two grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
