Burglary

A woman at 76-0800 Kueni Place reported that someone stole pearl earrings from her home on July 20.

A man reported his home was burglarized while he was at the airport to pick up his granddaughter. The victim told police that jewelry, a semi-automatic hand gun, laptop computer and two jewelry drawers were taken from the home in 75-0600 Mahi Iu Lani Place.

A woman was threatened in her home on the 75-5700 block of Alahou Street at 10:10 p.m. July 21. A 23-year-old man entered her apartment without permission and began yelling at her. She reported he punched two picture frames, breaking them and leaving a hole in the wall, and punched a fan. Then he said “I’m gonna come back with a gun and kill you,” she reported.

A man reported a 15-year-old boy stole his car while he was sleeping. The victim told police the boy entered his home on the 75-0200 block of Oni Oni Street, then his bedroom. He awoke and the boy took the keys and vehicle, plate HFC469. It was recovered on Queen Kaahumanu Highway near Hualalai Road.

Unlawful entry into motor vehicle

A black wallet was stolen from a vehicle with plate ZCG921 some time between 9 and 11:30 p.m. July 20. It was parked on Lehua Road with doors unlocked and windows down. In the wallet were the woman’s U.S. passport, Social Security card and debit card.

A Jeep was apparently entered while parked after service in the 75-5700 block of Hualalai Road. The man reported that the driver’s side door was open when he arrived at work. The owner said he did not believe anything of value was taken from the white Jeep Wangler, plate HLN665.

Stolen vehicle

A gold Toyota Tacoma with plate HBS594 was reported stolen from in front of 73-1100 Olulu St. The woman reported the theft happened between 9 p.m. July 20 and 6:40 a.m. July 21. The truck is a two-door, four-wheel drive model with a Kamehameha sticker on the rear driver’s side window and a white hibiscus sticker on the rear middle window.

Someone stole a motorcycle with plate 977HNS from its spot on the south side of Teshima’s Restaurant. The owner had left the keys in the ignition while it was unattended. Video footage from the Shell gas station showed the suspect driving away at 12:03 p.m.

A woman’s black 2014 Subaru Forester, plate ZCK609, was taken some time before 7 a.m. July 21 from the 78-6900 block of Mamalahoa Highway. A friend of the woman called and told her she saw someone driving the vehicle in the area of Sea View Circle. The Forester’s vehicle identification number is jf2sjaac7eh498535.

A 21-year-old man drove away with a 43-year-old woman’s vehicle. The owner gave the man permission to use the vehicle from 2 to 7 p.m. July 21. He was supposed to pick her up at 7 p.m. and never showed.

A 2005 white Toyota Tundra pickup truck with license plate HFC469 was taken from the Kona Pool area, block 75-5500 Kuakini Highway, on July 24.
