A Mountain View woman has been charged with two felonies in connection with a burglary in Hawaiian Acres.
Sheri Bowers, 29, was arrested Tuesday on two bench warrants unrelated to the case. Investigators determined that she committed the break-in and charged her with first-degree burglary and second-degree theft, according to the Hawaii Police Department.
“On July 22, a woman returned to her home on Road 9 in Hawaiian Acres and discovered that it had been broken into. A woman in a vehicle in front of her house claimed she had car trouble. The victim called 911 but the suspicious woman left the scene before officers arrived,” the release said.
Her bail on the burglary and theft offenses was set at $7,000.
She remained in the cellblock pending her initial court appearance scheduled for Wednesday.
