Welcome to kindergarten: KAMP eases students into school

Konawaena Elementary School held its Kinder Kamp (Kindergartners Are Most Precious), sponsored by the University of Hawaii at Manoa, College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources, Cooperative Extension Service 4-H Youth Development Program, on Wednesday. 4-H youth volunteers assisted incoming kindergarten students and their parents in interactive learning games, school tours and activities for the keiki in their new classrooms in order to make the first day of school a little less intimidating.
