Roy Kawamoto

Roy Yukio Kawamoto, 77, of Honolulu died June 13, 2015, at Castle Hospital. Born in Honomu he was a retired attorney.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. July 25 at Auwaiolimu Congregational Church, 403 Auwiaolimu St., Honolulu, for an 11 a.m. service. Family requests aloha or casual attire be worn.

He is survived by daughter, Karen Kawamoto.

Joanna Jerusalem

Joanna Silva Jerusalem, 100, of Pahala died April 28, 2015, at Ka‘u Hospital. Born Jan. 26, 1915, in Kona, she was a homemaker and member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Pahala.

Friends may call at 8 a.m. July 24 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Pahala for a 10 a.m. Mass. Urn burial follows at Pahala Catholic Cemetery. Family requests casual attire be worn.

She is survived by son, Phillip Jerusalem of San Francisco; daughters, Joanna (Ray) Krech of Minnesota, Eleanora Louis of Pahala, Josephine (Wallace) Melick of Idaho Falls, Idaho; brother, Frank (Julie) Silva of Kealakekua; sister, Caroline Nobriga of Kailua-Kona; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Andrew Mikelsons

Andrew Mikelsons, 76, of Hilo died July 7, 2015, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Riga, Latvia, he was a foreign language translator for the State Department and an anti-terrorist trainer.

He is survived by wife, Faith Mikelsons of Hilo; son, Adam Mikelsons of Oak Port, Ill.

Helen Ikeda

Helen Yayoi Ikeda, 86, of Kailua-Kona died July 4, 2015, at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale. Born April 21, 1929, in Honolulu, she was a retired elementary teacher and member of Hawaii State Teachers Association and Kainaliu Makai Kumiai.

Private services will be held.

She is survived by son, Clinton Ikeda of Kailua-Kona; sisters, Aiko Sakamoto of Honolulu, Betty Ganishi of Torrance, Calif.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Luc Mohandie

Luc Francois Mohandie, 78, of Keaau died July 3, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in St. Francois, Guadeloupe, French West Indies, he was a retired teacher and student activities coordinator for Pahoa High School and an Army veteran.

He is survived by wife, Cindy Mohandie of Keaau; sons, Krishnan Mohandie, Rajeev Mohandie, both of California, Chris (Anne) Martins of Waimea, Ravi (Tamami) Mohandie of Honolulu; daughter, Sri (Lance Charlesworth) Mohandie Charlesworth of California; numerous brothers and sisters; six grandchildren.

Michael Moylan

Michael Gerard Moylan, 54, of Mountain View died July 3, 2015, at his residence. He was born in Omaha, Neb.

He is survived by wife, Charlotte Moylan of Mountain View; sons, Roy (Amy) Snyder of California, Michael Moylan, Matthew Moylan, Andrew Moylan, Anthony Moylan, Nathaniel Moylan, Ignatius Moylan, all of Mountain View; daughters, Anna Marie, Charlotte Moylan, Rebecca Moylan, all of Mountain View; mother, Elizabeth Moylan of Mountain View; eight brothers; six sisters; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Ingvard Myklebust Jr.

Ingvard “Myke” Leonard Myklebust Jr., 92, of Kailua-Kona died June 23, 2015, at his residence. Born July 13, 1922, in Minneapolis, he was a retired aerospace engineer, a former board of director and member of the Waikoloa Village Association, a Navy veteran and weatherman.

Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Hospice of Kona, P.O. Box 4130, Kailua-Kona, HI 96745 or the Veterans Administration.

He is survived by sons, David (Gloria) Myklebust of Paauilo, Steven (Lara) Myklebust of Kailua-Kona; daughters, Patricia Bogan of San Diego, Elizabeth (Kevin) Kelly of Ahualoa; brother, Richard (Marilyn) Myklebust of Cincinnati; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.

Darryl Weiss

Darryl Weiss, 44, of Mountain View died June 7, 2015, at home. Born in Los Angeles, he was an information technology manager with Kahi Mohala Behavioral Health on Oahu.

Private services were held. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Hospice of Hilo.

He is survived by wife, Emily Weiss of Volcano; parents, Martin and Ann Weiss of California; brothers, Daniel (Yannabah) Weiss of Hawaii, David (Kimberly) Weiss of California.

Eugenia Riley

Eugenia Avus Riley, 77, of Keaau died July 2, 2015, at Pohai Malama. Born Sept. 30, 1937, in New Orleans, she was a professional artist.
