Combined team ringer averages determined “Class” play on July 4. Championship play was on July 5. Linda Taketa and Tiffany Lastimosa regained the state doubles title they won in 2013 on Oahu.

The Kona Horseshoe Pitcher’s Club offers free, informal play from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesdays at the Kona Palms Courts horseshoe pits behind the tennis courts at Old Kona Airport Park. Also, on Thursday evenings (4-6 p.m.) the group welcomes pitchers of all levels to meet some of the players.
