Hawaii News Now reports (https://bit.ly/1CBsfM1 ) that Waikiki Beach Activities Ltd. is delaying its plan to install two zip lines over the oceanfront lagoon of Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort.
The Board of Land and Natural Resources in March approved a six-month pilot project, but the company is delaying the start in order to finish an environmental assessment and get community input.
Waikiki Beach Activities President Robert Martin says they want to address concerns about safety and noise before beginning the ride. Representatives will answer questions at the Waikiki Neighborhood Board meeting on Tuesday at the Waikiki Community Center.
