Marcello Bondaug Jr.
Marcello “Jr” Bondaug Jr., 60, of Keaau died May 31, 2015, at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born Aug. 18, 1954, in Hilo, he was a tractor driver for the former Hilo Coast Processing Co.
Friends may call at 5 p.m. June 15 at Dodo Mortuary chapel, Hilo for a 6 p.m. celebration of life. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by wife, Marilyn Hutson of California; sons, Stephan Bondaug, Kalson (Talia Bautista) Bondaug, both of Keaau, Brandon (Zenny Fabia) Bondaug of Waikoloa, Layson (Sierra O’Neil) Bondaug of Hilo; stepson, Bryan Hutson of Texas; stepdaughters, Carla Kalima, Laura Balai, both of California, Kelly Hutson of Alaska; brothers, Dexter (Selma) Bondaug of Keaau, Keith (Mary Jane) Bondaug Sr. of Keaau; five grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren.

Eleanor Cate
Eleanor Troy Cate, 98, of Hilo died May 10, 2015. Born in Arizona, she was a retired art teacher.
Friends may call at noon June 15 for a celebration of life at Onekahakaha Beach Park for memoirs at 1 p.m.
She is survived by son, Bruce (Joyce) Cate of Hilo; daughter, Carlyn (Janice Littrell) Marley of Texas; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Haruo Maedo
Haruo Maedo, 88, of Hilo died May 20, 2015, at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Pepeekeo, he was a retired agriculture researcher’s aide with University of Hawaii, member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin and a World War II Army veteran.
Private services were held. Family requests flowers and monetary donations be omitted.
He is survived by sister, Toshiko Shiroma of Hilo; numerous nieces and nephews.

Yukimi Yoshimoto
Yukimi “Joyce” Yoshimoto, 94, of Hilo died May 11, 2015, at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born Sept. 9, 1920, in Hilo, she a homemaker, retired waitress from Hukilau Restaurant and Dick’s Coffee House and member of the Tenrikyo Kilauea Church.
Private services were held. Family requests no monetary gifts or flowers.
She is survived by sons, Warren (Yvonne) Yoshimoto of Honolulu, Roy (April) Yoshimoto of Keaau, Stanley Yoshimoto of Hilo; daughter, Irene Ishiyama of Honolulu; sister, Kikuyo Nakano of Hilo; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
