There is no cover charge or drink minimum but attendees are asked to bring a pupu to share. Members are encouraged to attend and bring another member or a friend. Those interested in becoming members are invited. The dance floor will be open.

Drivers education classes planned
this summer
Marlin Driving Academy is offering driver education classes in North Hawaii.
Classes are from 10 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday June 8 through June 19 at Waimea Middle School; from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays July 8 through Aug. 7 at Honokaa Sports Complex; and from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays Aug. 10 through Aug. 31 at Waikoloa Community Church.
Driver education courses are open to students ages 15½ and older. The courses include classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel instruction. After completion of courses, students will be eligible for their Hawaii drivers license.

Hospital auxiliary meets Monday
The Kona Community Hospital Auxiliary will hold its monthly board meeting at 12:30 p.m Monday in the hospital conference room. Visitors are welcome to attend.

Kona Interfaith Meditation Society meets Monday
The Kona Interfaith Meditation Society will hold its monthly meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Hawaiian Queen Coffee Garden, 75-1048 Henry St.
The program will include the third part of a three-part documentary on the life and spirituality of the Sufi poet, Rumi. It also includes discussion, a period of silent meditation and refreshments.

SKEA to host
keiki art camp
Society for Kona’s Education &Art will host a summer art camp for children ages 6 through 11. The camp will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday starting Monday through June 19.
The camp theme is “color it green” and it will focus on using recycled materials and eco-friendly practices. Quality activities in the arts include dance, drama, clay, painting, drawing and mixed media projects, outdoor games and performance.

Female veterans to be honored at PTA
The Veteran Centers of Hilo and Kona along with the help of various agencies are hosting the fifth annual Women Veteran Day Celebration event to honor women veterans who served in military and service members who are still serving.
