Hawaii extended furlough inmate John Towle was captured by police and returned to the Hawaii Community Correctional Center at 3 p.m. Friday.

Hawaii extended furlough inmate John Towle was captured by police and returned to the Hawaii Community Correctional Center at 3 p.m. Friday.

On April 30, Towle failed to check in at the Kona Furlough House. Inmates in the extended furlough program live and work outside of the facility but must check in at various times.

Towle is serving time for methamphetamine trafficking. His next parole hearing is scheduled for June of this year.
