Byron Hanuala Ayala, 62, of Hilo died May 8, 2015, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born Jan. 13, 1953, in Hilo, he was a carpenter, an Army veteran and member of New Hope Church in Hilo.
Friends may call at 4 p.m. May 23 at New Hope Church in Hilo for a 5 p.m. service with military honors to follow. Scattering of ashes will be at a later date. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by wife, Donna Ayala of Hilo; daughters, Kathy (Kalsey) Nacis and Hiilani Ayala, both of Hilo, Kristal Ayala of Oahu; son, Kaimiloa Ayala of Hilo; sister, Deneen (Bill) Thompson of Michigan; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Margaret Duadua
Margaret Jean Duadua, 67, of Hilo died April 23, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Dec. 4, 1947, in Hilo, she was a homemaker.
A celebration of her life will be held from 10 a.m. to noon May 24 at Carlsmith Beach Park in Hilo. Lunch follows. Family requests casual attire be worn.
She is survived by daughters, Selena Duadua of Las Vegas, Michelle (Christopher) Gonsalves and Joylene Duadua, both of Pahoa; brothers, Edgar (Poppy Hanson) Ehu of Kailua, Oahu, David Paea III and Matthew Paea, both of Kona; sister, Dorcus Simmons of U.S. mainland; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Alexander Masami Muramoto, 68, of Hilo died May 11, 2015, at Kuakini Medical Center in Honolulu. Born June 29, 1946, in Hilo, he was an insurance agent with Pyramid Insurance in Hilo and member of the Hilo Meishoin Buddhist Temple, Waiakea Pirates Athletic Club, Waiakea Pirates Youth Organizations and Yamaguchi Kenjin Kai.
Friends may call at 2 p.m. May 24 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for a 3 p.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.
He is survived by wife, Eunice Muramoto of Hilo; sons, Marc (Precila) Muramoto of Honolulu, Alistair Muramoto of Fremont, Neb.; sister, Eleanor (Robert) Miyake of Hilo; one aunt; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Kyle Derek Steinhoff, 58, of Kohala and formerly of Oahu died April 15, 2015, at Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born in Honolulu, he was an entrepreneur.

Takeshi “Saskit” Sakata, 89, of Hilo died April 22, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Dec. 2, 1925, in Kamaee, Hakalau, he was retired from Hilo Coast Processing Co. and was a member of Hilo Meishoin.
Private services were held.
He is survived by daughters, Charlene (Henry) Shinohara of Mililani, Oahu, Rachel (Lerbert) Ancheta of Hilo, Laureen (David) Masukawa of Makakilo, Oahu, Adrienne (Patrick) Sugimoto of Aiea, Oahu; sons, Brian Sakata of Kona, Mark Sakata of Phoenix, Ian (Lori) Sakata of Hilo; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
