County closing Kona Community Aquatic Center for repairs

The Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation will close the Kona Community Aquatic Center from May 29 through June 3 to perform needed repair and maintenance work.

Normal operations will resume June 4, when the swimming pool will reopen at 6:15 a.m. for public and recreational swimming.

During the temporary closure, the department will replace restroom partitions and plumbing fixtures, install a new circulation pump and perform other related maintenance tasks.
