Katy Lowrey
Katy Wishard Lowrey, 93, of Waimea died April 22, 2015, at Hakalau. Born May 23, 1921, in Kohala, she volunteered at Foster Botanical Gardens on Oahu, North Hawaii Community Hospital and the Paniolo House Committee in Waimea.
Friends may call at 2 p.m. May 23 at Kalahikiola Church in Kohala. A gathering follows at Kolea at Wailea Bay. Donations may be made to Waimea Outdoor Circle and North Hawaii Hospice.
She is survived by sons, Packet (Debbi) Lowrey of Denver, Mike (Katie) Lowrey of Hakalau; five grandchildren.

Diana Arakaki
Diana “Yoshie” K. Arakaki, 89, of Kapaau died April 8, 2015, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Lahaina, Maui, she was the retired owner of A. Arakaki Store in Kapaau, former cafeteria manager, and member of Kohala Hongwanji Mission, Kohala Okinawa Kenjin Kai and Kohala Senior Citizens.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. May 23 at Kohala Hongwanji Mission for an 11 a.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.
She is survived by sons, Edward (Arlene Tamura) Arakaki of Hilo, Barry (Janice) Arakaki of Kapaau; daughter, Blanche (Stephen Gross) Arakaki of Hilo; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Robert Kamaka Jr.
Robert Kamaka Jr., 85, of Holualoa died May 7, 2015, at home. Born Oct. 31, 1929, in Kailua-Kona, he was an asphalt plant and loader operator for Grace Brothers Co., worked for J.M. Tanaka, was a lineman for Hawaiian Telcom, foreman for Kailua Coffee Mill, a coffee farmer, cattle rancher and a U.S. Army veteran.
Friends may call at 1 p.m. May 23 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Alii Drive for a 2 p.m. Mass. Dinner and fellowship will be at the family’s residence, 75-5284 Mamalahoa Highway in Keopu. Burial will be held at 10 a.m. May 26 at Kona Memorial Park in Holualoa. The family requests casual attire be worn. Flowers are welcome.
He is survived by wife, Emily Kamaka of Keopu; son, Robert (Dionysia) Kamaka III of Keopu; daughters, Frances (Robert) Liwai of Hawaiian Beaches, Roberta (Russell) Reimers of Billings, Mont.; Rodelle (Mark Sayers) Smith of Waikoloa, Aloha (Bobby) Ellis of Keopu, Romel (Lloyd) Kainoa of Kona Palisades; hanai daughter, Helen Kaaialii of Oahu; 29 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Joanna Momi McCallum, 80, of Honolulu died April 28, 2015, at Life Care Center in Hilo. Born Sept. 3, 1934. in Honolulu, she was a retired bookkeeper and danced hula professionally.
