Myron Guerrero

Myron Kenneth Kelii Guerrero, 65, of Mountain View died March 11, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was an electrician and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

His ashes will be inurned at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at a later date.

He is survived by wife, Tamiko Guerrero of Mountain View; sons, Hauoli Guerrero of California, Kapono Guerrero of Honolulu, Kino Guerrero of Hilo; daughters, Kris (Jay) Nourrie and Leimaile Guerrero, both of Honolulu; sisters, Penny-Mae (Ron) Takahashi and Cheri-Ann Guerrero, both of California; five grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Christina Nisbet

Christina Lee Nisbet, 53, of Pahoa died May 2, 2015, at Saint Francis Hospice, Nuuanu on Oahu. Born July 20, 1961, in Buffalo N.Y., she taught the Bible at the University of the Nations’ School of Biblical Studies in Singapore and was co-owner of Nisbet Business Services.

She is survived by husband, Andrew Nisbet; father, Buck Weaver; brothers, Mike Weaver, Dave Weaver, Jeff Weaver, Tim Weaver; sisters, Cheryl Gallagher, Jody Stein, Bonnie Turner; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Lillian Masuhara

Lillian Tsutami Masuhara, 92, of Hilo died April 17, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Oct. 1, 1922, in Aiea, Oahu, she was a homemaker and member of the Taishoji Soto Mission Kyodan and Fujin Kai.

Private services were held. Family requests no monetary gifts or flowers.

She is survived by sons, John (Charlene) Masuhara, Myles (Linde-Lee) Masuhara, both of Hilo; daughters, Karen Higuchi of Aiea, Oahu, Cora Sakai of Hilo; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Lula Pete

Lula Lemon Pete, 89, of Honokaa died April 12, 2015, at Hale Hoola Hamakua. Born in Salisbury, Md., she was a retired real estate agent for A&H Realtors.

Private services will be held.

She is survived by son, John Pete of Honolulu; one granddaughter; one great-grandson.

Haruo Taketa

Haruo Taketa, 91, of Hilo died May 6, 2015, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born July 28, 1923, in Hilo, he was retired from the state Department of Taxation, a World War II Army veteran and member of the Lower Kawailani Kumiai, Lincoln Wreckers and AJA and HELCO Golf Clubs.

Private services will be held. Family requests no monetary gifts or flowers.

He is survived by wife, Fujie Taketa of Hilo; sons, Ted Taketa of Honolulu, Arthur (Jennifer) Taketa of Roseville, Calif., Robin (Penny) Taketa of Westchester, Ohio, Jon (Sheri) Taketa of Hilo; brothers, Teruo (Betty) Taketa and Fujio (Marian) Taketa, both of Hilo; sister, Chizuko (Sparks) Segawa of Honolulu; nine grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Edward Fujitani

Edward S. Fujitani, 74, of Hilo died May 7, 2015, at Pohai Malama Hospice of Hilo. Vorn in Honokaa, he was a retired automotive mechanic.

Friends may call at 11 a.m. May 16 at Hilo Meishoin Mission Church for a noon service. Family requests casual attire be worn.

He is survived by mother, Tamae Fujitani of Hilo; son, Kevin Fujitani of Hilo; brother, Roy (Lynette) Fujitani of California; sister, Gladys Nishiura of Hilo; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Edward Hall

Edward “Frito” Hall, 57, of Hilo died April 27, 2015. Born in Keaukaha, he worked as a carpenter.

Friends may call at 11 a.m. May 16 at Puhi Bay Beach Park for a celebration of Life. Scattering of ashes will follow.

He is survived by sons, Kainoa (Krysanne Rodriguez) Hall of Indiana, Dylan Brown of California;brother, Harold (Keahi) Hall of Panaewa; sister, Gail Lynn (Clifford Costa) Hall of Keaukaha; three grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Harue Nakahara

Harue Nakahara, 99, of Hilo died April 12, 2015, at a private care home in Hilo. Born Feb. 10, 1916,in Paukaa, she was a housewife and member of the Taishoji Soto Mission Kyodan, Busshin Kai andFujin Kai.

Private services were held. Family requests no flowers or monetary gifts.

She is survived by daughter, Glendean (Herbert) Kotomori of Hilo; one grandson; numerous nephews and nieces.

Don Wilburn

Don “Duke” Gene Wilburn, 85, of Kailua, Oahu, died April 24, 2015, at Keaau. Born in West Virginia,he was a retired food processing and restaurant equipment sales company owner, a Navy veteran and member of the Mokulua Fishing Club and the Lanikai Community Association.

Services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by wife, Barbara Wilburn of Kailua, Oahu; son, Christopher (Sally) Wilburn of Volcano;daughters, Laura Walker of Volcano, Cynthia (May) Wilburn of Honokaa; three grandchildren;numerous nieces and nephews.
