A magnitude-3.6 earthquake was recorded Monday morning near the summit of Kilauea Volcano, the U.S. Geological Survey reports.
The earthquake, which had a registered depth of 2.9 miles, struck at 4:42 a.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. It was centered about 2.7 miles south-southeast of the summit of Kilauea Volcano.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center did not issue an advisory following the temblor.
As of 9:15 a.m. Monday, 18 people in the Volcano Village area reported having felt the temblor.
