HONOLULU — Emergency responders say a man has died after being pulled from waters off an Oahu beach.
Honolulu news station Hawaii News Now reports the man was picking opihi Sunday afternoon in the waters off Pupukea before he was swept away by a wave that crashed on rocks.
Responders went to the scene after receiving reports of a swimmer in distress.
Authorities did not immediately release the name of the man, who was estimated to be in his 60s.
