Dan Laurin, recorder virtuoso from Sweden, was recently awarded with the ‘Interpreter’s Prize’ of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music. He has won other awards, including a Swedish Grammy, and has toured the United States, Japan, Europe and Australia.

Jin Kim, on baroque violin, is a native of Korea who studied with Sigiwald Kuijken in Belgium and Ruggiero Ricci at the University of Michigan. Kim, a winner of Yamanashi International Earlymusic Competition in Japan, founded the baroque ensemble Musica Glorifica in 2002 and has been a member of Orchestra La Petite Bande in Belgium since 1993.

Join Laurin, Kim and Ensemble Mirable, which includes JungHae Kim on harpsichord, Joanna Blendulf on cello and Kevin Cooper on baroque guitar for a concert, “La Primavera,” a delightful Spring stroll through the Italian Baroque. Celebrate nature’s renewal with the music of Vivaldi, Cazzati and Marin Marais’ transcription of Les Folies d’Espagne for recorder and ensemble.

Tickets are $25 ($10 for students) and can be purchased online at earlymusichawaii.com or at the door.
