Hilda Calvert
Hilda Suzanne Calvert, also known as Lehua, 80, of Kent, Wash., died Feb. 28, 2015, on the dance floor at Hilton Waikoloa Village. Born in Washington, D.C., she retired as an accountant.

She is survived by husband, Richard Calvert; daughters, Carolyn (Stephen) Wagner of Sammamish, Wash., Cynthia (Gerard) McEvily of West Point, Va.; brothers, Paul (Peggy) Magtutu of Cross Junction, Va., Nicholas (Jay) Magtutu of Chesapeake Beach, Md., Gabriel (Cathy) Magtutu of Montrose, Colo.; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Gregoria Ramos
Gregoria Francisco Ramos, 52, of Keaau died March 7, 2015, at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born Nov. 28, 1962, in Solsona, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was a nut picker at Island Princess Macadamia Nut Co.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. April 4 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 10 a.m. service and celebration of life. Burial is at Homelani Memorial Park (Lehua Section). Family requests casual attire be worn. Flowers are welcome.
She is survived by husband, Virgilio Ramos of Keaau; daughter, Chelsea Ramos of Keaau; mother, Fidela Francisco of Philippines; brothers, Florencio (Pinky Grace) Ancheta Francisco of Keaau, Primo (Benita) Ancheta Francisco of Philippines; sister, Marilyn (Rolando) Francisco Ganotisi of Keaau; numerous nieces and nephews.

Joseph Rivera
Joseph Frederic Barr Rivera, 70, of Honokaa died Jan. 15, 2015, at home. Born in Glendale, Calif., he was a master glass artist, owner of Hamakua Art Glass and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by wife, Sandy Rivera of Honokaa; daughter, Christine Rivera of Long Beach, Calif.; brothers, Robert (Lavonne) Rivera of Palmdale, Calif., Paul (Andrea) Rivera of Canoga Park, Calif.; two granddaughters; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gertrude Toyoko Choy, 88, of Kailua-Kona died Feb. 5, 2015, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Sept. 1, 1926, in Honolulu, she was a retired data entry clerk for Hawaiian Airlines.

She is survived by sons, Jeffrey (Carol) Choy of Aiea, Oahu, Darryl Choy of Kailua-Kona; daughter, Doralee (Wayne) Kokami of Aiea, Oahu; five grandchildren.

Barbara Ann “Bobbi” Middleton, 66, of Naalehu died March 12, 2015. Born in California, she was a retired teacher.
