Alternating single lane closures remain in effect 24/7 on the Umauma stream bridge on Hawaii Belt Road, near mile marker 16 in Hakalau, for steel bridge rehabilitation, according to the state Department of Transportation.
The speed limit on the bridge is 20 mph. Vehicle that exceed the statutory size-weight limits will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis upon application of their respective oversize-overweight vehicle permits, according to the state. The maximum width for any vehicle with permit passing over the bridge is 12 feet.
Motorists are asked to drive with caution and obey all posted signs in the area.
