Hawaii Island filmmakers have been named among 25 finalists in the Lucasfilm Star Wars Fan Film Challenge for their entry, “Chronicles of Young Skywalker the Dark Clone Unleashed.”
Directed by Brent and Blake Cousins and filmed in Paahau, the 5-minute short features Brent Cousin’s 9-year-old son, Cameron Cousins, who plays a young Luke Skywalker. Cameron Cousins was named the 2010 Star Wars Fan Film Best Acton Hero.
Winners will be announced in April in Anaheim, Calif., during a Star Wars celebration. Those interested may view the 25 finalists and vote for their favorite by March 27 at starwars.com/star-wars-fan-film-awards.
